How I agree with the comment made online from ‘Skillstrack’ (Echo March 24) regarding the vandalism being carried out in the name of conservation.
Soon this part of Dorset will be one vast, boring, ugly wasteland the rate the trees are being chopped down. There seems to be no thought either for the animals and insects already living there or the pollution (both noise and air) that is happening taking down so many trees.
I’ve lived here 16 years and the way the countryside is now being ‘managed’ is tantamount to criminal.
I’m getting to the stage where I no longer wait to go out into the countryside as its just too shocking to see once beautiful landscapes being reduced to wasteland and this by the very people who should be protecting it.
