THANK you for giving space to the 10th summer of Bournemouth having to suffer the eyesore of the decaying Cliff End hotel site in Manor Road.

It is not just an eyesore for local residents, but a disgrace to the area.

The hoarding round the site is in a disgusting state.

Meyrick Park Estate’s argument that they have made efforts to press successive tenants of the site to put the property into repair is ludicrous.

There is no way the building could now be repaired such is its condition and they must know that.

What are they suggesting, that it be brought back to its original condition? Even if that were possible, that would cost thousands and is clearly impossible.

What is equally irritating is the fact the council claims it can take no action, despite the fact the site is a serious health and safety hazard.
