I REFER to the letter (Deers are culprits in theft of flowers).

I have been attending graves at Corfe Mullen Cemetery since I was born, so I am well aware of what flowers the animals like.

I can only say that if the deer can cut roses to almost the base of the stem without disturbing any of the other flowers, they are much cleverer than they have been in the past.

So they are also capable of taking a single rose from a wrapped bouquet and cutting it neatly off? I don’t think so.

If this had been done by deer, more damage would have been done, but it was quite clear these flowers had been selected.

We were upset to find the flowers taken from our mother’s grave, but would accept it if it had been animals, but we know it definitely wasn’t.
