I HAVE been researching my family tree and my great-great-great-aunt was a famous music hall performer called Jen Latona.
Her American husband kept diaries of their adventures travelling and general life.
These diaries were lost until 1955 when Jen died leaving no kin.
Her items were sold at auction and a lady called Jean Kennedy, who was also a performer, purchased a cupboard.
Inside the cupboard were the hidden diaries, sections of them were printed in The Stage.
Jean Kennedy has since passed away but I have managed to find details of her daughter Jean Patience (Pat) Phelps, nee Coppin, her last known address is Bournemouth with her husband Paul and she wrote a short article in 2010 describing her life in Tugby when her family moved there during the Second World War.
I am trying to trace her to find these diaries.
The British Music Hall and The Stage are both interested as Jen and Frank Latona were world famous.
