REFERENCE the letter entitled ‘Clean up dogs muck’, in your Friday edition (March 30).
My wife and I very often walk this same area and are in full agreement with this lady’s comments, and strongly believe that it is local people who allow their dogs to foul in this manner.
These same people need educating about the danger’s for ‘dog’s poo’ can cause severe problems, especially for children.
As we have witnessed many times, it is only a small minority who allow their dogs to do this, and we feel rather surprised that the local authorities are not more vigilant to stop this practice from occurring.
Most dog owners I am sure are very responsible with regards to this problem, so it’s the same old adage: why should they have the blame for what a minority allows.
