AS A pensioner I do not need my car to get to work or to do the school run and have no doctor or hospital visits planned for the foreseeable future.
However, l decided to comply with British tradition by filling my fuel tank to the brim.
I am now having to spend my days driving round in circles to use it all up in order to purchase another tankful before a strike is announced.
