MY objection to wind farm electricity stems not because is it intermittent and highly expensive.

It is not because it would never be built without a heavy taxpayers’ subsidy and is highly intrusive on landscapes that have remained untouched and unsullied for countless generations.

Not because it provides income for foreign countries since every single component is imported and is therefore a drain on our balance of payments. Not because it then provides an income for foreign companies that are investing and building them and not because they can induce low frequency sounds that can be heard by some miles downwind.

My objection is because the cost of wind farms is mainly paid for by the poorest members of our society.

They now have to endure increased energy bills fostered on them that push them into an almost unlawful energy poverty. Their energy bills exceed 10 per cent of their gross income. That is my objection.
