REGARDING the news of The Reef ... (What an embarrassment!) We would like to know, what qualifications/ common sense, do the councillors have, in order to spend public money, as in the case of: The Reef; The Imax; Boscombe fountains (two different ones); The Winter Gardens etc. etc.
Would we not have been in a much different position today, if we had built a small marina at the Boscombe site?
After all, there are many more of the yachting fraternity and general public who would enjoy such a facility.
Not decrying the surfing fraternity in any way, but they do have other and much better natural surf in other parts of the UK.
We feel so sad, that even now, when it is patently plain that this idiotic and insane plan of a reef is never going to work, the council is still throwing our money at it.
When will they ever learn?
