WE READ with interest the article in a recent Faith Matters page on ‘Council prayer ruling’.
We thought it a bit ironic that we have been debating as to whether or not we should pray for matters concerning the everyday lives of the local population.
Yet the footballing world, in the last month, was avidly praying for Fabrice Muamba that he would recover from his cardiac arrest.
People may not pray as a regular habit, but when tragedy strikes, they turn to God for help.
Is He only there in times of trouble or should we go to Him when things are going well?
Thank you for your excellent paper.
