I HAVE never understood why a collection of intrusive wind turbines should be described as “a farm” when these unreliable and massively subsidised structures bear absolutely no resemblance to agricultural or animal activity.

They are nothing more than European owned factories – usually on short time working – which are being allowed to ruin a vast area of British countryside and will become monuments to flawed political policies and public relations – ‘spinners’ indeed.
