WHEN I decided to return to the UK after 30 years abroad, my foreign friends recommended Bournemouth, which they loved – until they visited me here.
They cannot believe the town is so run-down compared to six years ago.
I have been here two years. After being threatened on a regular basis on the streets, on buses, having called the police numerous times because of anti-social neighbours, then being bullied at work by colleagues who claimed to be Christians, I am leaving the UK again next week.
I came back to the UK because I missed home, I missed the caring, kind people, the gentle manners of the British people.
I will always miss them now because drink, drugs, parties and bullying seem to be the order of the day, not only in Bournemouth, but in British society in general.
There is hardly anything Great about Britain anymore.
How many people are going to come to the Olympics in summer and end up being stabbed?
This town and this country are a disgrace.
The sooner the yobs and anti-social elements are dealt with properly the better, so that pensioners and the rest of us can live in our own homes and walk the streets in peace.
