HAVE we, as a community, lost our minds? The council are employed and paid for by us, the ratepayer.
They are normal people who live and work in our communities alongside us. Who then thinks it’s clever to send out a team of traffic police during a tenuous one-hour window of opportunity to ticket around 50 cars parked perfectly legally before 2pm and after 3pm while the drivers were supporting AFC Bournemouth, during bank holiday Monday, which is, in effect part of the weekend.
At the same time a group of lawbreakers have invaded a car park in the town centre and, instead of fining them (as none of them has bought a ticket and some, worse still, parked in a designated space), the council are picking up their litter and checking their wellbeing.
Am I the only person to think this absolutely disgusting? Most of the locals ticketed will pay up a large percentage of their hard-earned wages and quietly go about their business while the lawbreakers and their caravans will stick up two fingers and drive away leaving us, the ratepayers, to clear up.
I for one don’t think this is right!
