WE moved to Southbourne a year ago with two children and love living here.
There is a play area on the Overcliff near Cafe Riva, which is very popular with visitors and local children because of its unique location on the seafront.
On several occasions our children have not been able to use it because it gets so crowded in the good weather.
I do not understand why this play area is not expanded to include more equipment as there is plenty of space to do so.
Also, there is a lack of equipment for older children.
For instance, there are only swings for toddlers.
With obesity on the increase in children can anyone shed any light on why this play area is not developed further to allow more children to use it in the summer?
