WE all applaud the initiatives to get young people working, but who sends these ‘door to door’ salespeople with their limited selection of goods.
And how are they trained, with regard to elderly people?
Despite a ‘No Doorstep Sales People’ notice on my front door, one such youth aggressively rang my doorbell.
When I challenged his eyesight (re the no doorstep sales) he just stood there.
I made a move to check that the sign was visible and was asked “Why are you so close. God man, your breath stinks”.
Hardly the sort of dialogue which promotes a would-be sale!
