I AM writing to let your readers know just how disgusted I was to receive a £70 parking fine from the Turbary Retail Park, Bournemouth on April 12.
Totally unaware of the limited parking time at the above retail park, my daughter and I set off for a few hours retail therapy and a spot of lunch over the Easter holidays. We arrived at 12.26pm, parked up right outside The Range and off we went on our merry way.
We visited several of the stores there, having lunch in The Range. We left at 15.53, all of three hours and 26 minutes, feeling lighter in our pockets but good with our retail therapy.
Two weeks later on Saturday April 28 a letter arrived. I duly opened it to find that it was a fine of £70 from Total Parking Solutions Ltd for exceeding the parking time limit.
I can’t say that I have ever seen any car parking notices around the top end of the car park regarding limited parking time, but having read other people’s complaints they must be somewhere.
I am totally disgusted. As a single parent in this current economic climate £70 would be a week’s worth of food shopping for us.
I hope they realise just how much pain and grief they cause to innocent people like me.
