Councillor Sue Anderson tweets comments supporting the English Defence League and telling someone to go back to the country where they come from.
The easiest way to deal with this is not a standards board, it is her electorate.
It is not the views of the party she originally stood for. The politically correct way is to seek re-election under the party which best suit her views.
This will save the council tax payers, save the Conservatives further embarrassment – unless they believe she has the right to hold the view and remain in the party – by not having a long drawn out case with the standards board that cost thousands of pounds like in the case of former leader of the Conservatives, ex-councillor Stephen MacLoughlin.
