WITH reference to your Opinion on May 15. There is no need to go to a rival beach to park a towel on pebbles.
Just go to Shore Road. The sand there has been covered in stones and bits of rock for several years and you have to walk very carefully across it to get to the sea. People are forever cutting their feet. As for the children, digging is impossible, and little ones have to be carried across. We have had a hut at Shore Road for 14 years and it rather grates to see it described as a beautiful beach.
It bears no comparison to Sandbanks or any other Poole beach in quality and is to be avoided at all costs if you are looking to park a towel in comfort.
