The Wilts & Dorset enhanced bus service made interesting reading (Echo May 24).
Managing director Andrew Wickham, who has obviously been doing his sums and juggling the routes about to make the service affordable to everyone, seems to have done a reasonable job. Except for the No 40 route to and from Swanage.
We all look forward to June because we can all travel on the No 40 bus, every 30 minutes instead of every hour.
We need this bus to start every 30 minutes from Easter to Xmas. All the buses are packed /including standing.
And why can’t every other bus re-route via Lytchett Matravers?
It is crying out for a decent bus service in a growing area.
It could easily be achieved by simply, as an example – Swanage/Wareham/Organford/Lytchett Matravers/Minster/Upton /Poole.
As you said yourself Mr Wickham, passenger numbers have risen by 28.8 per cent in the last six years.
We have the passengers. Do you have the foresight?
To us it’s a winner for everybody.
DW KENNEDY, Poppy Close, Lytchett Minster
