JUST wondering how Poole Council justify the way they charge for parking.
I used to go into Poole and pay for an hour in the multi-storey, but now the charge is a minimum of two hours, which I never actually need.
I now no longer go into Poole, I just look online or find a shop where I can park without paying over the top.
Today I needed to go to Parkstone and only needed an hour’s parking.
I took enough change thinking the charge would be 30p for an hour which it was. But the meter would not take the shiny new 10p piece which I had.
So I had to put two 20p pieces into the machine and yet again pay for two hours which I didn’t need.
There is a note on the machine at Norrish Road car park saying it wouldn’t take the new 10ps or 5ps.
I think Poole Council are hitting the motorist yet again in the way they charge for parking.
